Troubleshooting

1
10.0.0.1 connection refused

Browser access must be enabled first. Open Xfinity app → Wi-Fi → View Equipment → Advanced Settings → Admin Tool → toggle ON. Then retry 10.0.0.1.

2
admin/password not working after enabling access

In Xfinity app go to Gateway Settings → Reset Admin Password to restore the default.

3
Bridge mode disabled xFi features

Use IP Passthrough (Firewall → IPv4) instead - preserves xFi parental controls while solving double-NAT.

FAQ

What if the default credentials do not work?

Check the physical label on the device for custom credentials. If the password was changed and is unknown, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds to restore factory defaults. After a factory reset, the default credentials listed above will work again.
