AT&T BGW210 and Router Login at 192.168.1.254
AT&T fiber and DSL gateways use 192.168.1.254 as the admin address. The password is the Device Access Code on the gateway label.
AT&T Gateway Models
AT&T deploys its own branded gateways for fiber (AT&T Fiber) and DSL (U-verse) subscribers. The BGW320 (Wi-Fi 6), BGW210-700, and NVG589 all use 192.168.1.254 as the admin address. The password is the Device Access Code on the label - not a generic default.

Wi-Fi 6 dual-band. Admin at 192.168.1.254. Device Access Code on back label.
Most widely deployed AT&T fiber gateway. Admin at 192.168.1.254.
Legacy DSL gateway. Admin at 192.168.1.254. Device Access Code required.
Route public IP to your own router. Eliminates double-NAT for gaming and port forwarding.
How to Log In
The admin password is the Device Access Code printed on the back or side of the gateway. It is typically a 10-12 character alphanumeric code - NOT "admin" or "password".
Connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Open a browser and navigate to http://192.168.1.254.
On BGW series: leave the username field empty or type admin. Enter the Device Access Code as the password.
IP Passthrough Setup
IP Passthrough sends your public IP to a device connected to the AT&T gateway - typically your own router. This solves double-NAT for gaming and port forwarding without fully bridging the AT&T gateway.
The admin password for AT&T gateways is the Device Access Code on the back or side label - a 10-12 character code. It is not admin or password.
Connect to the AT&T gateway Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.254.
Leave the username empty or type admin. Enter the Device Access Code as the password.
For double-NAT issues, go to Firewall → IP Passthrough, set mode to Passthrough, select your router MAC, and save.

Troubleshooting
The Device Access Code is the 10-12 character code on the label - not "admin" or "password". If the label is unreadable or missing, contact AT&T support. They can verify account ownership and reset gateway credentials.
Ensure you are connected to the AT&T gateway's Wi-Fi, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.254 with http:// explicitly - the gateway uses plain HTTP.
If your router sits behind the AT&T gateway, both devices are performing NAT. Use IP Passthrough (Firewall → IP Passthrough → Passthrough) to route your public IP directly to your router. See the IP Passthrough setup section above.

FAQ
Can I use my own router instead of the AT&T gateway?
AT&T Fiber customers cannot replace the gateway entirely - the AT&T BGW handles GPON fiber authentication. The practical solution is to use the AT&T gateway with IP Passthrough pointing to your own router. Your router handles all Wi-Fi and routing while the AT&T gateway manages the fiber connection. DSL subscribers have more flexibility depending on the plan type.
My Device Access Code is not on the gateway - where else can I find it?
The Device Access Code is only on the physical device label. If the label is missing or unreadable, contact AT&T support. They can reset the password or provide the code after verifying your account ownership. If you changed the password and forgot it, the gateway can be reset to factory defaults by pressing and holding the Reset button for 10+ seconds.
