ZTE routers use 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 as the admin address. Default credentials are admin/admin on most models. ZTE produces both ISP-supplied DSL/fiber gateways and standalone home routers.

How to Log In

1
Connect to the ZTE device

Connect via Wi-Fi (SSID on the label) or Ethernet to a LAN port.

2
Try 192.168.1.1 first

Open http://192.168.1.1. If it does not load, try http://192.168.0.1. MF series LTE devices sometimes use http://192.168.8.1 (same range as Huawei LTE devices).

Troubleshooting

1
admin/admin rejected on ISP-supplied ZTE

ISPs change defaults. Check device label for custom password. Factory reset: hold Reset 10 seconds.

2
APN not working on MF-series LTE

Go to Settings → Dial-up. Enter APN manually for your carrier - especially needed for MVNOs.

FAQ

My ISP provided a ZTE device and admin/admin does not work

ISPs routinely change the default admin credentials on ZTE devices before shipping to customers. Your ISP's default password for your model is often printed on the device sticker - look for a label with "Admin Password" or "WiFi Password" distinct fields. If neither works, contact your ISP and ask for the gateway admin credentials. Some ISPs do not give customers admin access at all and require all configuration to go through their customer portal.
