Vodafone Router Login and Setup Guide
Vodafone home broadband gateways use 192.168.1.1 or vodafone.connect as the admin address. The admin password is unique per device and printed on the label on the bottom of the router.
Vodafone Home Broadband Gateways
Vodafone supplies its own branded routers to home broadband customers across the UK, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Australia, and other markets. The hardware varies by region - Vodafone uses equipment from Sercomm, Huawei, Sagemcom, and other OEMs. Despite different underlying hardware, most Vodafone gateways share a similar web interface at 192.168.1.1 or the hostname vodafone.connect.
Combo DSL/cable gateway. Admin at 192.168.1.1. Password on device label.
Vodafone's current UK broadband gateway. Admin at 192.168.1.1 or vodafone.connect. Unique password on label.
Mobile broadband gateway for home use. Admin at 192.168.8.1 (Huawei-based) or 192.168.1.1 depending on model.
How to Log In
Use the Wi-Fi credentials on your router label to connect. You can also use an Ethernet cable to any LAN port.
Try http://vodafone.connect first - this hostname works on most UK and European Vodafone gateways. If it fails, use http://192.168.1.1.
The admin password is unique per device and printed on the label - it is NOT the generic "vodafone" password. Look for "Admin Password" or "Router Password" on the sticker. The username field is usually left blank or uses "admin".
Vodafone locks some advanced settings on ISP-supplied gateways. Features like custom DNS, bridge mode, and port forwarding may be restricted or located in a non-standard menu. If a setting you need is not visible, contact Vodafone support.

Troubleshooting
Vodafone prints a unique Admin Password on the device label - separate from the Wi-Fi password. Look for "Admin Password" or "Router Password" field on the sticker.
Some Vodafone gateways lock DNS and advanced firewall settings. Connect your own router to a Vodafone LAN port and configure those settings on your router instead.

FAQ
Can I use my own router instead of the Vodafone gateway?
Yes, in most cases. Connect your own router's WAN port to one of the Vodafone gateway's LAN ports. If you experience double-NAT issues (port forwarding not working, gaming Strict NAT), enable bridge mode or DMZ on the Vodafone gateway pointing to your router's MAC address. Note: some Vodafone contracts require using their gateway for managed Wi-Fi features or ISP support.
