How to Log In

1
Identify your model type

Check the label on the device. LTE/4G devices typically list "LTE" or a B/E model number. DSL devices list "ADSL/VDSL." FTTH ONT devices list "GPON" or "ONT." ISP-supplied units may have different labels.

2
Connect and open admin panel

Connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Open a browser and go to the correct IP from the table above. LTE models also support http://hi.link as a hostname.

3
Or use the HiLink app

Download the Huawei HiLink app for iOS or Android. It connects automatically to compatible routers on your network and provides full management including remote access.

Troubleshooting

1
Which IP to use: 192.168.8.1 or 192.168.1.1?

LTE B-series and E-series hotspots: 192.168.8.1. Wi-Fi 6 AX/BE series routers: 192.168.3.1. DSL HG-series modems: 192.168.1.1. FTTH ONT devices: 192.168.1.1 with telecomadmin credentials.

2
admin/admin rejected on ONT device

ISP-supplied Huawei ONTs (HG8245H, HG8120) use telecomadmin / admintelecom. ISP may also have changed these. Contact your ISP for ONT access credentials.

FAQ

My Huawei ONT has credentials that don't match admin/admin - why?

FTTH ONT devices (HG8245H, HG8120, etc.) supplied by ISPs typically have their credentials changed from defaults by the ISP before installation. The ISP configures these devices remotely and may not share the admin credentials with customers. Standard access is usually through a lower-privilege account - try the credentials on the device label, or contact your ISP for admin access.
