Huawei Router Login and HiLink Setup Guide
Huawei routers use either 192.168.1.1 (DSL/FTTH models) or 192.168.8.1 (LTE models) as the admin gateway. Also accessible via the HiLink mobile app.

How to Log In
Check the label on the device. LTE/4G devices typically list "LTE" or a B/E model number. DSL devices list "ADSL/VDSL." FTTH ONT devices list "GPON" or "ONT." ISP-supplied units may have different labels.
Connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Open a browser and go to the correct IP from the table above. LTE models also support http://hi.link as a hostname.
Download the Huawei HiLink app for iOS or Android. It connects automatically to compatible routers on your network and provides full management including remote access.

My Huawei ONT has credentials that don't match admin/admin - why?
FTTH ONT devices (HG8245H, HG8120, etc.) supplied by ISPs typically have their credentials changed from defaults by the ISP before installation. The ISP configures these devices remotely and may not share the admin credentials with customers. Standard access is usually through a lower-privilege account - try the credentials on the device label, or contact your ISP for admin access.
Five Product Lines, Three Different Addresses
The single biggest cause of failed Huawei logins is aiming at the wrong address, because Huawei runs three defaults depending on what the device is. Home Wi-Fi routers (AX3, BE-series) answer at 192.168.3.1. Anything with a SIM slot, the B-series LTE gateways and the pocket MiFi hotspots, lives at 192.168.8.1. And the DSL and fibre boxes your telecom handed you usually sit at 192.168.1.1. Match your hardware to the table above before troubleshooting anything else; half the "Huawei won't let me in" problems evaporate the moment you use the right IP.
The telecomadmin Superuser (ONT Owners, Read This)
If you have a Huawei fibre ONT, an HG8245, HG8145, EG8145 or similar white box your ISP installed, the ordinary admin account is deliberately crippled. It shows status and little else. The account that actually configures the device is telecomadmin, historically with password admintelecom, and ISPs hide it because it exposes the WAN VLAN, voice, and fibre-registration settings they don't want customers touching.
That superuser login is the key to the two things people most want from these units: enabling true bridge mode so your own router does the routing, and unlocking Wi-Fi or LAN options the ISP greyed out. Fair warning in both directions, changing WAN or VLAN settings on an ONT can knock your fibre offline until the ISP re-provisions it, and some providers now randomise the telecomadmin password per device (still on the label, or obtainable from support). Note the username too: it's easy to misread the credentials, admin panel access and telecomadmin access are two different doors.
